The DMS can capture data to assist in a wide variety of boat, yacht and ship building applications. Our capabilities span the areas of inspection, alignment and installation. We can capture data to: reverse engineer existing 2D templates or fiberglass moulds, align components (such as propeller shafts) and inspect ship sections before they are joined. We are experts in measuring in thermally unstable, dirty or vibrating environments while maintaining the highest measurement accuracy.

Some of the tasks we can perform include:

  • Measurement and inspection of tools, fixtures, jigs, gauges, dies and built parts including hull sections

  • Alignment of parts of almost any size

  • Measuring the deformation of parts induced by welding, temperature or manufacturing process

  • Measuring the location and size of pipes

  • Measuring the repeatability of assembly processes

  • Data capture for reverse engineering templates, moulds and built components including entire boat hulls

  • Checking built components before and after transportation

  • Checking submarine hull circularity
