Deformation Measurement and Analysis

The DMS is a leader in complex deformation measurement and analysis of plastics, metals, concrete and composite materials. Photogrammetry and Laser Tracking allows the DMS to quickly and accurately determine how objects (large and small) change shape due to stress, loads and heating processes. Our past experience has ranged from assessing how plastic components distort after a heating process to analysing how an entire aircraft assembly distorts during fatigue tests. We have also have unique experience in concrete and structural deformation measurement.

Deformation data captured by the DMS during controlled structural testing is regularly used to validate Finite Element Models (Finite Element Analysis) .
