Brunson 545-190 Tilting Level

The DMS uses a Brunson 545-190 tilting level for its most demanding levelling jobs. The telescope has adjustments to maintain a straight line of sight throughout a focusing range of 51mm to infinity. This straightness can be maintained at ±0.025mm from 51mm to 5.2m and one arc second from 5.2m to infinity. The Level's optical micrometer can produce repeatable readings with a resolution of 0.025mm. The Brunson 545-190 can be employed to level all types of machinery and equipment or to determine the relative orientation of tables and shafts to accuracies that are difficult to achieve using other conventional measurement methods.
